OMA has won the design competition for Tors Torn in Stockholm. The project, led by OMA Partner Reinier de Graaf and OMA Associate Alex de Jong, and designed as the third tallest twin skyscrapers in Sweden, was selected from entries by four competing practices.

OMA's design for a new bridge across the river Garonne in Bordeaux has been selected as one of two final competing projects by the city authorities. OMA's stripped-down design for the Pont Jean-Jacques Bosc attempts to rethink the civic function and symbolism of a 21st century bridge.

Today OMA's proposal for the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) will be presented in South Beach, Florida from 14:30 EST to 17:00 EST.

A new furniture range, "Tools for Life," designed by OMA for Knoll, was unveiled today at the 52nd annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. Knoll invited Rem Koolhaas to design the furniture to mark the company's 75 years in the business, in which time they have commissioned furniture by the architects Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen and Frank Gehry, among others.

OMA has been shortlisted along with eleven other architecture firms to design a new headquarters and visitors' centre for the Nobel Prize in Stockholm.

After winning an international competition, OMA has been announced as masterplanners for Airport City, a new 10km2 development where 200,000 people will live and work, linking the new Hamad International Airport with the city of Doha, Qatar. OMA's masterplan is a series of four circular districts along a spine parallel to the HIA runways, intended to create a strong visual identity and districts with unique identities. Phase One of the 30-year masterplan, which links airside and landside developments for business, logistics, retail, hotels, and residences, will be mostly complete in time for the 2022 World Cup, hosted by Qatar.

Today, students of the Berlage Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture and Urban Design will present the results of From CIAM to Cyberspace: Architecture and the Community - a studio directed by OMA Partner Reinier de Graaf and OMA AMO Associate Laura Baird.

OMA has won the design competition for the Essence Financial Building in Shenzhen. The project, led by OMA Partners David Gianotten and Rem Koolhaas, and designed as a new generation office tower for Shenzhen, was selected from entries by four competing international and Chinese architectural practices.

Milstein Hall, an extension to the College of Architecture, Art and Planning at Cornell University, has won a 2013 AIA Institute Honor Award for Architecture.
