Hermitage 2014

The year 2014 marks the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum. In anticipation of the historical moment, the Hermitage – with its six buildings, two thousand rooms, three million artifacts, and almost unfathomably rich and intricate history – offers itself for reconception as a 21st century encyclopedic museum.
