Multi Media Building

Planning a media building is an instance where the most permanent and spatially defined of disciplines – architecture – meets the most ephemeral and placeless – media.

How can frequent technological and programmatic change be accommodated in architectural construction? How can a building exemplify and enhance the curriculum for a new media school without limiting its development and misinterpreting its future? How can architecture embody media? How can a building bridge the gap between the local reality of architecture and the global presence of media? Should it?

Rather than operating with the traditional categories of building, site and program only, we propose to look at the new school in a more comprehensive way structuring the proposal into the following three areas.
