Beymen Tersane

The Tersane-i Amire, or Imperial Arsenal, was Istanbul’s main shipyard throughout the Ottoman period and remained in use until the 1960s, when it fell into disrepair. It is now being redeveloped, with previously inaccessible areas turned into public squares and walkways carved out along the coast to create a new connection with the Golden Horn.
