Morden Wharf

The masterplan introduces a mixed-use development on the former industrial site at Morden Wharf, located on London’s Greenwich Peninsula. 40% of the 2.4-hectare brownfield site is designated by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to be Strategic Industrial Location (SIL), reserved for industrial use, with the remainder residential. The masterplan dedicates more than half of the site to public open space, leaving cars behind at traffic-heavy Tunnel Avenue, with semi-private gardens, play space, public art, and a west facing park with sundown views over the Thames. Twelve residential blocks have three distinct characters, each a response to the site’s immediate context, past present or future.
